If you follow me on Instagram then you might know that in August I went on a Miami girls trip staying at The Julia Hotel. I was accompanied by some of my favorite blogger girls, Dominique, Megan and Chelsea. I flew down from NY and met up with Megan and Chelsea who come from the Florida panhandle. We checked into our very artsy boutique hotel, The Julia. Then we did some sightseeing around Wynwood Walls and then the area surrounding our hotel until Dominque’s flight from Indiana came in. She got there just in time to start celebrating the beginning of our Miami girls trip with our free happy hour at the hotel.
Prior to our trip I had gone on a couple vacations with Dominique, which you may know. I had also briefly met up with Megan when she visited NYC earlier in the year, and it was my first time meeting Chelsea. For me, it’s really important and exciting to get to know our girls within this industry, to collaborate, learn more from one another and support one another. I personally think the girl tribe you gain from this industry is the most rewarding aspect of it. All of us have been supporting each other on Instagram for a while. So, when the chance came to get all these girls together for a Miami trip I was all about it.
The hotel’s location was also fantastic! We were literally only one block from the beach where we had complimentary beach chairs. Right next to the cutest Miami lifeguard towers.
And two blocks away from the cutest pink retro diner called – The Big Pink! Located on Collins ave and 2nd street. And right on 5th street you can find the Miami Beach Bicycle Center, where Dominique and I rented these beach cruisers for only $5 an hour! A local in the shop suggested we ride them over to the Marina where the below picture was taken.
My favorite part of the hotel was the huge lantern lights that decorated the ceiling. Your girl has a love of good lighting. Speaking of lighting the lobby was filled with natural lighting from their floor to ceiling windows.
Not only does The Julia have a great Happy Hour to bond with the girls from 4-6, but they have beautiful origami art installations hanging from the ceiling of every Ibis room! Perfect artsy oasis to come back to after a long day at the beach. They also had these cross between modern and antique portrait art in the lobby.
Oh and let’s not forget the daily free breakfast because I was HUNGRY! Doesn’t this look delicious?!
And that’s all she wrote!
I hope that you will find some of my experience helpful in planning your trip to Miami! Make it Instagrammable!
Love Always!

Shaunie
