Heya! My name is Shaunie. I would like to start by saying writing about yourself is probably the single most difficult thing to do. Am I right? Anyway, here goes nothing! I am from Brooklyn, NY living there until my early 20’s when I moved to San Diego, CA for 4 years and now I’M BACK!
Travel is my unexpected savior. I traveled a lot of the states growing up but I count studying abroad in China as the first real time I fell in love with travel. Because although I had traveled prior to that without my parents, I feel I didn’t really travel or learn about another culture the way that I did in China. When I returned I immediately booked my next trip – which was to Acapulco, Mexico. Since then I try my hardest to travel as much as possible. Much of my travels have been in USA as I have done 3 cross country road trips. I have also traveled to Italy, Croatia, Ireland, Norway, Grand Cayman, Belize, Puerto Rico, and many other places.
I believe that when traveling you are either trying to run towards something or run away from something. At least for me it has been that way. Now I always travel to run towards something.
